Yes, unbelievable. Passport renewal form taken into the British High Commission on Monday and received a phone call this morning to say it is ready. Fantastic! For a change some positive news in the TRNC.

Are there restrictions on this passport - like no entry to USA - as there are some these days for UK passports not issued direct from the home country ?



I had this problem once and had to wait till I could do it within the UK. Also found it the case when out in Liberia last year when a friend had his stolen. A thought anyway.

Loulou - answer, not many. But some of us get sent there as part of our employment whether we like it or not. I have worked there often but never want to go there on holiday.

I was also able to renew my UK passport very quickly at the British High Commission - well done to them! They provide a terrific service.
