Well speed of construction is one thing. Liner pools are faster to build than concrete ones. However, if you have the whole of the autumn winter to do it, speed isn't so important. As to cost, when the pound was 1.50Euro and 2 dollars last year, liner pools were cheaper than concrete pools, as they were imported from either France or the US. Now that the rates are not so favourable they work out at about the same or even slightly dearer. Please contact me on vaughan@sunnycyprus.net for further details.

Sorry Hilmi, I should have said that a 10x5m liner pool will cost you about 19,500 pounds and in concrete about the same. 15x10m is not a common size and I would need to work it out for you.

Vaughan a few months ago i seem to remember that Octopus pools were thinking of going into the market for supplying and fitting of Liner pools ( plastic ) is this still the case or are you just going to continue with concrete pools ?

We were looking at importing liner pools from Spain but the shipping was too expensive. We also looked at importing GRP one-piece pools from the Greek side but the rigmarole with customs, etc., on both sides meant that this is something for the "happy" day when the border opens without restrictions. At the moment we are sticking with tried and tested steel reinforced concrete.

15x5m in concrete will cost about 34,000 sterling subject to survey. If this is of interest we can do a survey and firm up the price.
