Hi All

Just wondered at what point in buying stage did your solicitor ask for police checks to be completed for permission to buy? We asummed this would be at beginning of process but never be asked?

Thanks for any help

Hi

I bought two years ago and now find myself in the same position. I was advised by Marion this should have been done at time of purchase but my solicitor did not mention it. I went to http://www.hbpg-trnc.net/documents/police.html filled in the form, and follwed instructions. When it's returned I plan to scan it, send it to my solicitor and send the original to the Ministry. Im not sure if the lack of it is slowing or stopping my application, but doing the above cant do any harm. I hope this is helpful.

We were told of this right from the start by our solicitor. We processed the documents through the UK police and had them hand delivered to the solicitor in November.

The PTP was sent in, in January after I chased them for the PTP reference no.

Hi all

Are advocate asked for the POLICE checks after signing contracts .

Don’t you need them for the permission to buy. Which can take years without any other delays.
