Best Place For Exchange YTL

Hi all



I am due to come out in a few weeks time & considering whether to wait until I get to Kyrenia to do my currency exchange and if so the best place to go ?



The current exchange rate is around 2.36 YTL via the Post Office but wondered if it is worth getting it when I get out there ?



Does anybody know of places in and around Kyrenia to get this or am I better off getting in the UK ?

dont change your money till you get hear currant rate 2.465 tl to the pound,then try xe for daily rates

Have looked on xe.com and that was 2.46YTL to the £

On the main shopping street (Ziya Riose Caddessi) and just around the corner (Canbulat SK) there are several good exchange places. One at the back of the Bandabulya called Kozan Doviz (avoid the one just next to this on the corner as its rates are always significantly worse). There is is also a good one a few shops further down on the main road and the one opposite the Dome hotel is very competitive as well.



I usually check 2-3 just to be sure but these 3 are usually about the same. For some reason the others I have seen in Girne/ Kyrenia always seem to offer worse exchange rates. I have also found the Banks to be less competitive and more hassle as well.

lots of money exchanges in girne, just shop around for the best deal.
