I have recently been told that if a person is over 60 there is no need to re-apply for residency. Anyone know from experience please? Ismet any thoughts on this please?

Who told you? Why not ask the immigration office and post the facts. Don't just post someone else's speculation.

Of course you have to apply for Residency whether you are over 60 or even seventy, you dont think they will let us off that lightly, correct me if I'm wrong but you have to do it every year, the only way out is to pop our clogs or return to our Native country.

Ozbey. I was not posting someone else`s speculation. There is no need for sarcasm. I fully intend to ask the Immigration Office and I, for one cannot think that with such a huge number of over 60`s living here they are going to let us off, they would lose too much revenue. Incidentally, I have heard this all before and things change here from day to day almost. Bob cannot tell you who told me!!!!!!
