| Hi Polin, For once I agree with Pipie, Bio oil is good, almond oil and even olive oil. Anything that makes the skin supple. Try not to put on too much weight during pregnancy, as the more weight you put on the more the skin needs to stretch. Some people are luckier than others and don't get stretch marks at all. | we only had olive oil back then, but it worked for me, but try to control the weight while pregnant, that old saying eating for two is wrong, then you will balloon out and the skin will stretch and find it very difficult to lose, or stop the stretch marks from appearing. ENJOY your pregnancy you will look fab your hair will shine your skin great, its a wonderful time. me thinks I will do it again ) ) Sheila |

Your genetics and diet will determine if you get stretch marks and how bad they are but using essential oils can help 10 drops lavender 5 drops neroli 30 mls of almond or wheatgerm oil. Mix and massage gently. Good luck and if you do get some, they do fade with time.

I agree with Carrie, as I had 4 children and did get them despite oils. They do get much fainter with time, and they seem to be under the skin, so oils don't really help that much. Small price to pay for a lovely family! (Well, most times!)

I used plain ordinary baby oil, a triplet pregnancy & not a stretch mark in sight, I was huge! I think most is down to luck of your skin's genetic makeup. C

I totally agree chezzi. These marks come beneath the skin in the tissues. Why are people concerned about them? Your husband will still find you desirable even more so!

I agree with message 7 apparently it's all in the genes, ask your mother/sisters etc if they got them, if the answer is no then you should be fine, but moisturising is always good anyway and wont do any harm! Natx

yes it depends on your skin. I had no stretch marks at all with 2 pregnancies but my daughter got quite a few. I just used baby oil, but don't despair if you do get them - they do fade in time !!

ref mes 7 DO NOT USE LAVENDER OIL - ı use this for everything normally- however this is beleived to be harmful to the developing baby - whilst pregnant please do not mess around with essential oils unless you are an aromatherapist or on advice of one
