| I notice a lot of comments that say.." it must be good, all the locals eat there.." Is this a true reflection of the quality of food at an eating establishment? Or is it that in reality the 'locals' can't afford to eat at more expensive restaurants? |

| It's probably value for money actually where they eat and the 'more expensive' restaurants as you say offer 'tourist prices' happens all over the world, having said that I think after today the best place to eat is at home, we got a take away delivered last night from a well known Turkish restaurant and it seemed fine, always has been in the past but I have been so ill all day, until now... infact still have stomach cramps, & I had so much to do today aswell, my whole day is ruined, learn to cook and you can make some lovely fresh food at home yourself, plenty of recipes online etc I am definately going to continue doing just that and forget the occasional treat as it's certainly not been a 'treat' how I feel today!... | exactly that's what I was saying local restaurants local prices, expensive restaurants that are not local ie English, Chinese etc = tourist prices as they are targetting tourists, how many locals have you seen going to those places? Natx |

| Therefore it would be fair to say that when you read the comments...." it must be good, all the locals eat there.." It is not a true reflection of the food quality. |

| No1Doyen....you pays your money and takes your choice. However the reality is that if a restaurant is patronised by Turkish Cypriots who have the money to eat out, then it probably is good. Those that don't have the money, eat at home. Obviously the only way to know if the quality is good is to try it. |
