| Who here actually can see even with direct flights and non ripping of Turkish Cypriots, that Kyrenia/Famagusta will ever be a normal choice for holidays for the English/Europeans? I personally cannot see it myself, I see Cyprus evolving into a European/Middle Eastern Las Vegas style place, for the rich Turks and the Russians to come in greater numbers to play at the casinos. What do you think? |

| I think it's too late for that. The TRNC lacks world kudos in casino terms. Too much competition both in NC & worldwide. Las Vegas, London, Monte Carlo, Macau all roll off the tongue. There has been insufficient investment in infrastructure i.e. hotels, transport, services. That plus huge world recession does not assist NC. If it does get bigger I would suspect underworld involvement & huge corruption. Not good for the TRNC. |
