Hi all, Has anyone dealt with the above company, both for swimming pool construction and on going pool maintainance. I am looking for references! Also has any one used the salt water chlorinator? Good or bad? Cost saver on maintainance or otherwise. Cheers wynyardman

Hi Esentepe pools let people down when the guy went in the army and it was run by octopus but hes back now he deals in aquamaid pools which is a salt water chlorination system hes a pool cleaner not a pool builder but with everything out there theyll say they are and then go n get somebody else to do it 4 them and get 20% comm. There was plenty on the salt water systems last year on the board you should dig that up it made interesting reading, mostly about bad maintenance and the water in Cyprus being unsuitable

When we looked into salt water systems last year we were told by a couple of Pool Companies that we would have problems with the salt water system as it is still in its infancy over there and difficult to maintain, likewise there are problems with the water. We decided to go with the usual system although I noted in the local paper an advertisment for Chlorine free swimming which is environmentally and eco friendly and reports to last 3 times longer than chlorine. The email contact is http://www.poolsanuk.com. I intend to check this out further. Sue and Dave

Wynyardman A couple of friends of ours have the Watermaid system and find it brilliant. Water is always crystal clear and soft. It was brought to the Island about 3/4 years ago by Vaughan Williams (not sure if he's on this board) and two others, Chris Callaghan and Steve Harris (he set up the original MSN board) and who were at one point the only importers of the system on the Island. A lot of people bought from them but then there was some sort of falling out, one member was selling at a knockdown price so the remaining two started up their own Company. That later broke down but I think Vaughan is something to do with Octopus Pools now. I know that if you go into Octopus and ask for him they'll give you his number. We always buy our granular salt from them. Not sure if its any help but I could when you are next over put you in touch with a couple who live in Esentepe who have the watermaid fitted. http://www.watermaid-europe.com/Agents_6_page_Brochure_-_1.pdf Karen

| I am one of Murat's customer's and stayed with him when he did his national service. He was as good as gold for us, and we are very pleased with the service he provides. Tenas construction built the Pool and Esentepe Pools maintain it. We have an overflow style pool and although they look very attractive they need more water than the other style Pool which I think are known as Skimmer design. Many people would debate which is the favoured style Pool. If you are reading this Murat thank you for your service and the peace of mind you give us while we are in the UK. We return to Esentepe on 23rd April and if warm enough look forward to waking up in the morning with a brisk dip in the pool, hopefully we can try and top the balance tank up with water from the well for the first time. | Hi Karen yes we had good fortune 150ft down amazing construction seeing the three lads going down the shaft on a home made rope. They worked there socks off and at times very very dangerous, I certainly would recommend there services should anyone consider digging for a well. Same as I would Murat as he has never let me down either, look forward to seeing you again soon. Jarra |

we installed watermaid three years ago, have absolutely no problems with it, crystal clear water and no chlorine. We have also had Murat looking after our pool from the start, apart from when he was in the Army, and he has always done an excellent job, never ever let us down. He is one of the most experienced pool men with all kinds of pools, and I personally know all the people locally that use Murat and everyone of them are very pleased with him. If anybody would like to inspect the watermaid in use, please contact me off board. John
