I very much doubt you will find them much cheaper anywhere else...1001 is one of the cheapest places to shop...maybe go to the pound shop? DD

I bought ours, though a few years ago, from a shop on the same road as 1001. If you leave 1001 and turn right there are a couple of rows of shops on the left side, I know it wasn't on the 1st row but after that I am not sure, or even sure that they are still there!

Ikea do a a wide variety of plastic storage boxes with lids ranging from 3 euros upwards. Don't know how much you want to pay but we thought that they were excellent value. Regards Paul

Daisydukes the containers I wanted from 1001 the largest ones were 42tl, the medium ones were 32tl.and as I needed alot, the staff weren't helpful considering it was going to add up to a large amount of money, so I walked out. just wanted to give my money to another shop in the trnc that deserved it!

kezspot. Message 11. Of course you were not entitled to a discount! All that extra work getting all those boxes and then the lids. Getting the calculator out to add up the amount. You may even have wanted to pay in Sterling. Just the thought of it makes me tired. But the main reason was that they would then have to order another load. Imagine the paperwork! Ensuring the correct item/description. Confirming the order. Getting a pro-forma invoice. Waiting for delivery. Checking the delivery. Putting the items back on the shelves. Don't forget... having to pay for it. I'm surprised they didn't try and charge you more for each additional box!!! You still believe they are there for our benefit. Brits, when will they learn?

I went to a good restaurant and got a takeaway and I am using their boxes (with lids) for storage. Also frozen food boxes can be very useful - Waste not - Want not!!!!!!

I found a good shop today Always passed it by as it was small and I thought they only sold different types of tea and coffee but when I got inside it is huge and they sell everything. Loads of boxes with lids of all shapes and sizes. It is on the main street in Kyrenia on the left had side going down the street and is next door to a shop selling specialised/expensive whiskey's etc. Well worth a visit, I will be back there for somemore kitchen stuff.
