Flights to Ergan cancelled

Apparently there are now no flights from Gatwick.

Passengers are being coached to Stanstead Goodness knows what the delay will be.

Our guests who were flying to Gatwick this morning with YK175 have just left for Ercan. They have been told that the flight will definitely leave this time at 17.30. The plane originally had a technical problem, was then supposed to fly out at 12pm but was then delayed due to the lightning strike by Customs this morning. Obviously this is going to cause complete mayhem for the people waiting to fly out from Gatwick on this plane. I have heard that this weekend could be very difficult for travellers, but don't quote me.

We did try to warn everyone that this could possibly happen (I have not been advised of anything yet).

IAH have just been advised the following:



CTA have two aircraft with engine problems (this might be temporary and minor but we have no way of knowing)



We have been given to understand that there might be a go slow or strike that might effect Ercan tomorow (this is also unclear). This might be CTA or general we don't know at present. This might affect Pegausus who told me and other airlines too.)



If you are trying to get information on this from airlines sales offices, they might know less than I have heard so be nice with them.
