Hi all you TRNC ex pats. I hope you are enjoying your time in TRNC ?

We are looking to relocate our holiday home (we spend approx 3 months per year in the sun) to TRNC. However my wife is a Ceoliac, so she cannot eat Gluten based foods, eg wheat based bread, pasta, etc. Has anyone with a similar problem and any advice on where to buy suitable Gluten free products.

Thanks Pete n kath

If you contact Liz and Guido at Guido's restuarant in Alsancak, they serve gluten free meals on request and I am sure they will let you know where to get supplies from.

Hi, I find it very difficult, almost impossible actually to purchase ANY Gluten or Wheat free products here in the TRNC and believe me I've checked them all.Tempo used to sell pasta, biscuits, crackers, but was all sold out the last time I looked. They still have flour tho!

Ileli sometimes have bread, but I'm afaid its very hit and miss mostly miss..

Dano don't have a clue -try 'diet bread'.

I don't know if the South sells any, as I don't shop over there!

If poss bring over your own supplies - also any one you know who's coming over to bring you some .

Pasta Mania Restaurant will cook you your own pasta if you bring it with you, all their sauces are fresh.

Hope this helps.
