I was absolutely shocked when I read the story.



We've visited Mani Peni on several occasions and enjoyed good food (pizza) in friendly and pleasant surroundings.



However,until incidents such as this arise you never know what lies beneath the surface.



Maybe the owners would like to come on and explain their version of events in order to allay the fears of those who may now have been put off?

A crazy woman, living next door to the restaurant, verbally and then physically attacked two women who were there with a childrens birthday party group over car parking. It was a mixed party of English and Turkish kids. The seven kids were hiding under the table it was so bad. The police were called and just walked away while the b.......y woman was stalking up and down telling the party that they could leave except for the two women who were going to be buried there. The owners of Manipenni just let it happen and told the father of two of the children that the kids and other adults could leave only the two women had to stay and be "seen to" and it was not until the police were called a second time that the party could leave. The restaurant owners were then shouting at the birthday party group not to come back. I thought Cypriots loved kids, the kids involved are still scared and have to keep reassuring each other that everyone that was at the party is ok.

If this is correct , then it's disgraceful behaviour especially in the presence of childeren . Hopefully this was an isolated incident ??
