Unfortunately not paid. North Cyprus Free Press are looking for people who would like to submit articles about issues which are close to their heart and which they are knowledgeable about. Good writing skills are not essential as our sub-editor will help tidy up any articles. Topics can be anything which would be of interest to people living in or visiting the area. Long articles can be serialised. If you have a business you would like to advertise for free then write an article with a link to your business included. For example if you have a bar, tell us about some of the cocktails you make.

I'm looking for articles, Katymackem. We could exchange links with them if they wanted. If you/they could write a factual article about their successes since they were founded in September 2005 we'd be very interested in publishing it. Didn't they get the government to set up the Property Complaints Office which then turned into the Property Information Office? We'd love an article following up on the 250+ cases that were submitted to that organisation. Now this is going to sound a bit 60s but actually I started this newspaper for people to express themselves so the answer to "do I want short stories" is yes! All material for publishing will be considered. If you have a photograph you have taken that you think others would like, well there you go. I might have to change the Debate link to Reader's Submissions. Ah yes, and as editor I will reserve the right to edit.

I suppose there aren't many children in the NCFP audience but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be. If you want to create a kid's page I'll publish it if I can. I believe a lot of us have at least one story in us. Writing it is another thing. I'm quite happy to edit the story if that's what you want. I've attended a few writing classes in my time and even have a few publisher's rejection letters somewhere.
