Hi Pugsey,

could you give some details as to what she is looking for and your budget, we have taken in a couple of part exchanges over the last couple of days and may be able to help.

Regards

Hugh

The island is flooded with unsold *2nd hand cars, added to which are those cars which Brits, who are leaving, have imported and are desperate to sell. Because of the economic crisis - especially so here, the market is stagnant. It's definitely a 'buyers market'. Don't go for new cars here - that would be crazy. Mostly, it is highly inadvisable to buy a Cypriot pre-owned car, for obvious reasons.

*Most of these are Japanese imports - identifiable by the blue and gold sticker on the rear window. These cars are the best bet, because they are fully loaded with 'extras'. Many have darker tinted windows than is customary on European cars - this is a definite advantage in the high intensity sunlight conditions of Cyprus.

If you've got the cash, 'the World's your oyster' - use bargaining power - maybe difficult, as you won't be used to negotiating on such a basis in UK. Preferably, if you've a TC friend, let him do the deal, because there's nearly always two prices!

Most of what you are saying is quite true but İ must object to your last statement, all of our vehicles have prices on the windscreen, even the second hand part exchange ones so no matter what your nationality the price is the same.
