We arrived in TRNC with grandchildren (their first time so keen to impress) at gone 10 o'clock on a Monday evening 2 weeks ago. Kids tired and hungry and found most places on our way to Lapta closing up. However, pitched up at Guidos' and asked if he could accomodate a party of 6 - including a vegitarian and a child who only eats fish,chips and bread (don't ask!). The lovely Guido said that 'though he doesn't usually do chips, he would make an exception. We all had a lovely meal and the kids spent the rest of the holiday asking when we could go back. We did on the last night (chips for the princess again) and had another lovely meal. Thanks Guido (and Liz) we really appreciated it.

I give Guido 4 days notice of the menu I require which is adhered too and presented perfectly. However, I need to give everyone four days notice to get out of my cage and with 'fair warning' to others enough time for them to hibernate in their caves whilst I'm on the loose!

Guido may be a very good chef (don't ever call him a "cook"!), but I don't like the way he plays chess. I only made one small error and he finished me off! You don't do that to customers, do you..?
