If you are interested in the region's history you may like to study the map (public domain) I've made available for viewing or saving here: http://www.allcrusades.com/BB_pics/ottoman_dismemberment.jpg I think it is an interesting graphical story about the (mis)fortunes of our Ottoman Turkish neighbours. If anyone out there is interested in other regional maps or would like to discuss one in this thread, just let me know here. The map is scanned at 250 dpi and may take some time before appearing on your screen - be patient!

Hi Hans This map clearly says Copyright V and K ... !! I'm not sure the Greeks, Armenian's, Russians, Hungarians, Austrians, et al would agree with the "mis" bit... The Ottomans choose the "wrong" side in WWI

RE msg 2, 6xm: (...) This map clearly says Copyright V and K ... ! (...) => Quess what: hard to miss and I happened to see that, Mark... The copyright expired and hence the map entered the public domain. And sometimes maps and other graphics are still copyrighted but enter the public domain with permission of the author or his/her heirs. Etc. Etc. Complicated business, eh, copyright...
