Only me... can anyone tell me the best port to sail from Turkey mainland to Kyrenia and what are the implications if any - ie: forms/tax duty??

there are only really two places you can go from in turkey one is alayna but this dont carry cars and the other one is close to mersin tasucu these places are located in the south west part of turkey, tax wise and forms will probabley be paid when you get into turkey either you entering istanbul or izmir if you are coming accross from italy links to ferry services are provided below

ukturk.misread there, tasucu, yes, is that the only crossing to Kyrenia, its about 7 hours or so I believe, do you know of any issues or where we can book or look this up...dont forget beers on us, minus the arrest at this time!!!

my best advice to you is to just book a flight either with kthy, thy, pegasus or sun express to istanbul (cheaper than going on a package holiday or break)once you are there take a taxi or bus to either taksim which is where all the action is resturants, top class hotels, night clubs and loads of shoping or to sultan ahmet where all the tourists places are like aya sofia mosque, dolma bache, topkapi palace etc, hotels do vary on the class of the hotel but on a average you will be looking at paying 100ytl a night for a double and thats inluding breakfast

i never said i was the most usefull member this is a tag that has been given to me for some reason i cant tell you why to tell you the truth!!!! lol

also mate make sure you take out international insurance for your car you can do this with your insurance company and if you need a good route planner try this out http://www.rac.co.uk/web/routeplanner/ put in tasucu turkey as your destination because it probabley wont find kyrenia hope this all helps
