Bo Thai is the name of the restaurant. It is situated on the main east coastal road opposite the second Çatalköy turning just past the Alpet petrol station. The owner is actually a nice guy once you know him however can appear very brusque and certainly not the kind of person they need front of house. I feel that is why they don't get repeat business and if they don't do something very soon the place is going nowhere. It would be a shame in view of the amount of money and time they put into designing the place. The food is not as good as it was when they were in the village. Blakey

Hi there thanks for that information, I do actully know the guy is his name Des, I used to work for him in a pub in Rugby a long while ago, but your description fits very well, he is a nice chap and Lyn was an old friend of mine, she is lovely to. I am over in two weeks and am going to look them up. With your directions hopefully it will be easier now. Thanks again Tricia x

Tricia perhaps as you know Des and Lyn well you could have a quiet word in her ear. I really support their restaurant and living very close would not want to see it close down. As you say Lyn is a very warm person and so is Des once you know him. Hope you have a nice holiday. Blakey

Yes I have to agree we went as a party of 5 at christmas the food was first class, the service was faultless but the greeting was as cold as a December in the UK. I agree with Trica it put my wife off, I tried numerious time this summer when we were out for 4 weeks to get her to go. We have spent many happy days in Thai land and love the food, culture and the people maybe Des could employ a Thia to greet poeple Suwady Cap

We have found the service and the food to be spot on and feel sorry for Des with the comments being made. The restaurant is opposite the large sign for the Malpas Hotel. I just found him quiet. We have recommended lots of people to go there.

Des & Lyn are good friends of mine too. Neither are rude & the food is good. I do not know what is wrong with some of the people on this board.

Have to agree with scruff, they aren't friends of mine so no axe to grind there, but we have been there a few times and found the food and service excellant. I

i again, yes they are both lovely people. Will definitely be looking them up even with all the negative comments, but I am glad to read all the positive ones, some folk over there just seem to want to moan about anything. Still it is the same if not worse over here. Thanks again Tricia x

Hi there, glad to hear your comments, as both are lovely folk, takes time to get to know the quite ones and some folk just dont take the time. I worked for Des many years ago and introduced him to Lyn at a function in Rugby when he owned a pub I worked in for him. They are a great couple and I was so glad to have tracked them down, in the village next door to where we have an apartment. Am so looking forward to walking in for a meal and seeing if they recognise us. Guess we have all changed in the last 25 years plus. The Des I know will not be particularly bothered by the negative comments, he will just make a success of whatever he is doing. Well thanks for your help Tricia
