| RE msg 4, LondonCypriot: (...) Never use the word Cyprus in the address. (...) => I know there is a problem in the UK, so maybe you are right for mail from the UK. But in Holland there are no Greek Cypriots working for the Dutch Royal mail... |

| The standard procedure is reckoned to be: Name ******* PO Box ******* Town ******* Mersin 10 Turkey That avoids a lot of problems misdirection and others If the sender uses a plain brown envelope with a typed address it is thought that mail can slip through better. |

| Hi Sheila never put anything in the address that refers to Cyprus. Mersin 10 is the address for all North Cyprus mail. i don't think it always works with the brown envelope i've had several attempts but all have failed. i think if it's an official or business letter it has a better chance of getting through but no guarantee. if it's anything urgent or important it's better to have it sent via registered post. it's not right but the only way it can be guaranteed and it was advised in the paper previously that's what we should do. up until last Christmas my mail wasn't too bad but it seems since the Orams case this year it has awakened the sympathisers in the uk because i haven't had any mail at all and even parcels that weren't a problem now are and i don't receive, from other countries there is no problem!
