Does anyone know of and can give the location of proper turkish baths in or near Girne preferably to the west of the city. I do not mean spas as there are a few of those but I have not seen any baths anywhere.

Real old "Hamam" in Lefkosa. Lay out on the old stone slabs - heat from the fires in the basement below. Worth a visit.

Msg 11, It is within the old walled city, down one of the side streets opposite the Saray Hotel. I haven't used it but had a look round -very old and traditional.

The Acapulco, Savoy, Mercure and Malpas all have Hamam's. I've been a member of the Gym at the Colony for 4 years and can confidently say they don't have a Hamam, just a sauna, steam and Jacuzzi. Was in Anatalya last year and had a scrub and peel then a massage and have to say it was the best I've ever had. Has anyone tried the "Russian" Hotel. Is it one with a list of "extras"?
