mare Monte Hotel in Alsancak, has now opened its beach free of charge to the public. If all the hotels did this they would get a lot more paying customers in the summer and increase their profilts.

yep they will certainly get the summer trade.... oh, it's almost October, if they keep it up, next year then.

Thanks for the info - its nice to know of another beach that you can go to without it being compulsory to have to take your wallet to have to buy food and drink!

Unfortunately the Mare Monte is closed - it is only the beach which is open to the public again.

All beaches should be public domain, except if using facilities such as sunbeds and showers. There is no such thing as a 'private beach' in the civilised world. The land, only so many metres above the high tide mark, can be private.



I wonder if there is something in the TRNC constitution about this?
