This morning my Nethouse Networks internet connection was down. Called the Helpdesk in Nicosia. Answer: something wrong with the antenna on your roof. No, we can't do a thing before Thursday, because it's Bayram.

OK. (Sigh)

Went to Lemar and bought a 3G modem, because I had to send email. 209 TL.

Came home, restarted the computer and an icon on my desktop said... the connection with Nethouse Networks is fine.

Five years ago I would be enraged. Today I shrugged and consider myself a seasoned Dutch Cypriot Turk.

Grrrrr.

Turkcell promised me a full refund on my annual G3 contract and my monies were ready to pick up from the agents (Baseline Computers) but no funds arrived (June time). I'm still connected but not to the specification on the original contract and no money for me to collect. More lies from the bully boys but they've already been added to my Bazooka list!
