| I understand that a classic car club and import facility exists, is anyone a member or can shed light on the rules and import of a car. I am led to believe that classic cares are exempt from any import taxes. Need to know minumum age of car to qualify any limit on value or minum value attached Constructive comments appreciated Michael |

| You need to speak to Tamer Konat at the Classic and Sports Car Club of North Cyprus. He can give you all the information you need and sort out the paperwork. The Club issues import licences for classics on behalf of the Government. Tam's number is 0533 8611188 and he speaks perfect English. Apologies if this is the information already emailed to you by Hatty. One thing I can assure you of, however, is that you do have to pay import duty on your classic. It is worked out on the original sales price of the car and you have to provide proof of this. |
