Not only shopping but my children attend a school on the south. Most people are lovely you just get the few who just want trouble. This counts for both sides.

Hi Tulik re msg 1 I believe your Range Rover was the subject of a thread whereby some members here thought it was a GC taking pictures of "their" houses ... ;) VERY glad you were allowed to cross - I'm afraid knowledge of ones rights as an EU citizen is NOT confined to Cyprus.. My step son got a part-time job @ McDonalds in the UK and was told by the employers UK Border Agency Employee "help -line" that he wasn't entitled to work !!

i respect your beliefs but we need to move on and make this Island the best it an be without the G Cypriots. There will be no settlement, there will be no agreement.Trust me it is to complicated to sort out. We need to sort our problems first. Educate our young to keep this Island clean as we are dirty race, sort out this issue with title deeds for foreigners, sort out the corruption here. Cival servants earning silly salaries. If we dont sort these key factors out believe me the economy of this Island will not last another year and we will have to reluctantly accept whatever is offered to us.

SG54 KYP Maybe it's the second part of your number plate which would up the "bubbles". Turks would have KIB, which you cannot get in the UK.

KIB is not possible under the new system AA54AAA under the old system KIB 231 was available for NI and personalised numbers brought over from the North The first two letters signify the registering area apart from personalised numbers 54 =September to Feb 04 = March to Aug registration 04 = the year 2004

M read the answer was to the new format post for UK registrations England Wales & Scotland To get a Jersey reg or guernsey IoM or NI is not practical I Q &Z cannot be used in the old form of registration plate or the new see link http://dvlaregistrations.direct.gov.uk/home/ Q used to signify an unspecified year of manufacture I looks like a 1 Z looks like a 2 Obviously KIB may have been issued in the past in NI and could then be passed on to future vehicles It may be issued in the future if NI do not adopt the UK listing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_registration_plates_of_the_United_Kingdom#Characters_2 please note that The combinations KIL, CIG, NIG and PIG were deemed inappropriate and will never be issued. The current issue (as of August 2009) is HIG. I am sure with your influence in NI you will get it blocked as it winds up the bubbles as Pink so aptly puts it Now on to the amening of bus route numbers when all local services were merged i

i had the same problem in reverse.i flew to larnaca, hired a greek car and drove through the border.i went to bellapais driving around,by the dutch village.an irate trnc london man with about 5 others stopped me,and said this is a private road.i said there is no private roads in trnc.after a heated argument i drove off.two weeks later i was going back through the border, and was stopped by trnc officers.they thought i was greek and was giving out papers, taking people to court in the greek side about land etc..after about four hours with police, army, phone calls galore,i was aloud to go.everyone apoligised, and i do not hold any grudge.after all it was a case of mistaken identity.but i will never go that way again,or hire a greek car, as it did frighten my wife.and if i ever see that london man again.............

Tulik/Msg20: Presuming you are a TC, I never thought I'd hear any TC express such views, especially those that criticise the integrity of many of your own people - your honesty is admirable! However, TRNC/KKTC is so crippled by the International embargo that nobody, even though we bitterly complain about being cheated left, right and centre, should be surprised at the 'Status Quo'. We all know that the 'problems' have tarnished the country's image abroad - the question is: what can this new government, UBP, do to rectify the situation while nepotism 'rules'?

Tenakoutou UBP were the ruling party previous to Talat. Much of the problems regards the TRNC come from within. It is very easy to blame everyone else.
