Hello everyone, I have heard that there is a good quality plastic type grass available in North Cyprus. Does anyone know who supplies this, costs etc, or even better, does anyone have it or know anyone that has it? Is it any good? ! I believe the supplier is over on the Kyrenia side, but cannot source them. Thanks!

I saw the plastic grass at back of apartments in Tatlisu (can't remember which) I like the idea Cruggs suggests for our TBV & have already suggested something similar to our management. There are several sun-tolerant plants which can be sown instead of grass which they tell us is costly to upkeep. What about camomile? (as trodden by Drake!)

just for everyones info they are very helpful, and are coming soon to see me in Bogaz. It costs 25 square metre, and has a five year guarantee. There are nine different types, this is the most expensive one.

Friends of ours has a grass type of covering and it looks good at times but it appears to be very difficult to upkeep. The main problem is caterpillars and they are huge and I mean huge great things that literally eat the grass. If you happen to squash one they are so engorged with grass horrible green splats everywhere, yuk. These caterpillars are nocturnal so you go to bed knowing you have a lovely green lawn, get up the next morning to find its gone completely, they eat the lot. You have to spray with a systemic system about every other day during the summer. Karen

I have a large area of artificial grass which was laid 4 years ago. I would recommend it to anyone, no cutting, no watering and it looks brilliant. It just gets a little hot in the sun but doesn't everything?!
