Swine flue cases up today with dodgy inflight cabin air not fit for human inhalation. It's a Government plot to kill off anyone that stays and those that choose to depart! Richard

The october half term dates are spread over an almost 2.5 week period !! It seems differing parts of the uk have the holiday at slightly diffrent times you also have the university start dates in the first week and a half which may or may not account for the price rise But the school half term i would say is a factor

Smithy, this is the problem I have been having with flights, it was costing around £50 to Larnaca, when you clicked to book it was £250 for the return! Crazy! Hope everything turns out ok. Vicki

The airlines have a programme that identifies a IP address when logging on, so the price will keep going up, For an example I needed to book a flight to Chennai in India ( previously Madras) for buisness every time i went back the flight had gone up.I decided that i had to bite the bullet as it were. I used a differant computor using that persons IP address and the flight was £400 pound less than I when I started looking. As I use this airline quite frequently I now do the nsame and always save money. Give that a try

| Sporty Msg 15 - the airline companies would do far better to have one charge but then you would also say they were robbing you as it would start far higher - they are there to make a living and a profit as are the agents and everyone else. So they fill some seats cheaply (at a loss) to let the plane fly and then break even etc. If they did not make profits you would not travel anywhere that your horse and cart would not allow, no one would want to run a business and risk losing their homes etc. On a general point or two: Msg 9 correct nearly 3 weeks (we were telling people this 6 months ago, but they did not want to book) - If any of you keep dithering you will either have very complex / difficult journeys to save a few pounds or maybe no (or no affordable) seats left. | Skeletons have a habit of doing that Shelia. In this case it sounds as though they might have done you a financial favour! Good Luck, Geoff |

Sheila, Sounds like a very wise decision for you. If it would be sensitive to him and sensible; your son might be able to travel over if he is 13 or more. If not avoid the heartache.
