Hye Everyone

If anyone wants to go shopping on South side ( Ikea/Superhome (DIY store)/AlphaMega (Supermarket)M&S etc) to buy bits'n'bobs- or just to buy food bits- or just to look and compare prices before deciding on where to buy - Please email me as i am more than willing to take people over for Morning or Afternoon .

I know how restricted you can be with a hire car and wanting to sort out everything for your "Place" and with the ever increasing cost of everything it may be worth your while having a trip down South just in case it is cheaper/has more selection.

I don't know for sure but assume if on UK plate ( as tourist/visitor travelling ) and you are covered by Full UK licence and World Insurance (for here in TRNC as we are not classed as (and are not) being in Europe) - you should be OK. If you are covered on UK Ins to drive in Europe then as far as i know should be OK for South Cyprus as it is in South is in Europe.

Lee, you can drive a UK reg car to south no prob, however, bear in mind that if you brought the car to the island via a north port, and you cross to the south, and it's a 'toys out of the pram' day they may give you problems saying the car was brought in through an illegal port. This has only, to my knowledge, ahppened a few times, but be aware.

Carry all documents.

You can drive there on your European insurance if you have any from driving ti the island, if not get tax first then insurance at Kermia.

If you havn't shipped car yet, it's cheaper I beleive to the south and just as easy to sort out.

Lee you can drive your Uk plate car to the south, with no probs. Just make sure that you have a valid European Insurance policy and up to date" UK Road Tax" and of course your UK drivers licence.

i received it - thanks for your reply but i didn't understand that you wanted to got to the south as a taxi driver with a 50 sterl contribution because we have our car and we can do it ourselves if necessary - i toht it was to keep you company and spend a couple of hours between women ! never mind, nice to hear from you
