It doesn't need to be a puppy. Remember the saying 'A dog is just not for Christmas!)' Lilli has the most gorgeous, faithful young dog (all be it G.Shepherd) Who needs a new mum and dad to love him and for him to protect. Lets face it a lot less grooming that and OE Sheepdog!!!

It doesn't matter what the breed or the cost Max can give the friendship and love your partner is looking for and I think he may even let you for a few hours any way tie a Xmas ribbon round his neck. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE THINK ABOUT HIM. XXXX

Sharny,

As you are 'bored' at the moment why not spend part of your day walking these dogs, Babe and Max. I am sure the people who are looking after Max and Babe would be very grateful as they are all busy people with business's to run, both in Alsancak where I believe you live.

I wouldn't have thought that an old English would be very comfortable in the heat of a Cyprus summer unless completely clipped!!!

Please don`t ever give a puppy for a christmas present, unless you will guarantee to take the dog for life ,if the person gets fed up with it.

We adopted Snowball, a big furry white dog a couple of years ago, it is absolute torture for him in summer with the heat and he has a no1 twice a year May and Aug.An Old English sheepdog is twice as furry as him - not ideal for this climate I would say.

Sharneyparney, if I remember correctly, you are still very young and the cost of a pedigree OESheepdog. will be prohibitive. I know your heart is in the right place but I feel if you do manage to track one down you may find it way too expensive and only cause yourself a lot of grief.

Don't mean to upset you, but please think very carefully.
