Hi gallowgate, No problem at all, just go to any supermarket and buy a Turkcell sim card. Take your phone with you, they may put it in for you and set the language to English, if needed. Cost app 20tl, with phone credit in with that . Good luck, Navek

No passport required..just gop in to any Lemar supermarket, they will sort...also...ask them to set it up for "ENGLISH" ( no charge for this ) Note....if you are away for about 3- 6 months or more your card may be "locked"....when you arrive again, if it is not working, simply pop into the Turkcell office with your original paperwork / details and they will unblock it for about 10 ytl

at the moment their is a campaign with turkcell. the sim card costs 20tl and comes with 300 free credits. You don't need any identification of such unless you want to register it. which in that case all you need is an identy number such as a passport number or driving license. After purchase you will need to top up with at least 200 credits within 1 month. Contract Sim card is free to join up but requires your passport and proof of residency/work permit if not already resident hope this helps
