If you could move from your current home in the trnc to another part of the trnc where would it be?

Or are you happy where you are?

I love our little bungalow and we have great neighbours, surrounded by olive trees with a great view of the mountain...but, my house in the UK was two meters from the beach and I SO miss the sound and smells of the sea, so if I moved it would be right on the waters edge again.

If we could have the same house and builder then we would probably move to another location in Karsiyaka....if only to get away from the one and only set of neighbours from hell.

On the other hand if they were to move........everyone on site would be happy!!

Baspinar is a great place but so is Ilgaz. Malatya isn't a patch on them but our house is just the job.

Happy here in Lapta especially now that the neighbours from hell have quietened down and have no dogs.

Puppylover, couldnt you get together with your (nice)neighbours, tape the dog, rig up a loud speaker system and then blast them until they HAVE to ask YOU to turn it off. You know, wait till they have family round, all sitting enjoying themselves...THEN LET EM HAVE IT!!!!

Hi Nurseawful - good news about the departure of the neighbours and their dogs. Our house is in Lapta and the dogs were so noisey when we were last there. Seemed to start with 2 dogs close by and spread. With luck, it is those dogs which have gone. Hope so as we are moving out in March so may bump into you.

Lapta is near to most things, plenty to walk to, so pleased that your problem has been sorted nurseawful, it must have been horrible to see the dogs so ill treated.

Laptagal, all the very best to you on your move to your house in March, you lucky person, able to get away from the gov and the roll up to a general election....

Hope the dogs dont upset you to much, seems that a lot of poisoning has been going on this summer, so perhaps folks are keeping their dogs in pens more, could this be why more are yapping?....

Arrived Ercan 8-30pm Sat. Picked up by Bro-in-law and taken to his place in Tatlisu. Sat on covered patio with wife, sister and bro-in-law. Med just a stones throw away, big fridge full of all sorts of beer, guinness, cider, wine even closer. So quiet and peaceful (learned to tune out wife 'n her sis) Went to bed about 3-00am. What a perfect life thinks I (not exactly sobre) Go home to Girne Sunday, first person I see, before I've even parked the car, is Brinsley, without bazooka. Rest of Sunday and all Monday getting things back on even keel. Tuesday walk down to Girne, shop a bit in 1001, down to Sens for lunch, up to Windows for a beer. Sat there thinking, "how the feck can anybody live anywhere else in NC".

Judy. In that case I'll have a Jeroboam of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1945.

Let me know when you've got it and all your troubles will be over. )

Up here in Arapkoy we love it except for the winter, the wind off the mountains is pretty scary, the house shook last year and I thought for one second it was an earthquake..

Laptagal,

The 6 dogs have now gone but the neighbours still here. All has been well for the last few nights until last night think I had 2 hours sleep, which not good especially as hubby had to leave at 5.30am to play golf! Where in Lapta are you moving to? Sounds a bit like the area we are in on the sea side.

Puppylover,

My sympathy goes to you and your family, nothing worse than rotten neighbours ours are just renting so hopefully they won't pay the bills like the last lot and just disappear one night. At least with Brits you can try to talk to them and reason.

Hi Nurseawful. No, we are on the other side. Turn left just past the LA hotel, up to the T junction, and turn right. My husband also plays golf (so do I but more enthusiasm than ability) so we may yet come across one another. Sorry to hear that the dog problem has not been resolved. I can get very good wax earplugs here and will bring a supply with me in March - can I get you some?

Quite happy in our spot - Edremit just up from Bell foods. All our neighbours are Turkish Cypriots - many of which have spent time living and working in the UK. They are very helpful, generous and friendly people. We can easily walk to the Kervansary beach and local shops. We seem to be lucky with not having water shortages and last time we were over didn't have any power cuts at all!
