What can we do? Get some money coming in. How? Tourism. What needs to be done? 1. Sort animal population. 2. Stop tourists getting ripped off. 3. Clean up the place. Sell property. What needs to be done. 1. Estate agents to be ethical. 2. Developers to be honest. 3. Builders to build to the standard that customers believe they should be built to. 4. Lawyers. To protect the customer, not the builder/developer/estate agent. 5. Government. Change the law to protect the INVESTOR, not the people who they believe MAY PAY SOME TAXES/BRIBES. What do you think? If, we as Brits/foreigners can help, perhaps we can be rewarded, not by cash, but by becoming citizens.

If the partition were to become formal then i would hope the isolation would end I think a radical overhaul of the home buying process would help I think I relaxation of the amount of land foreigners and foreign companies are allowed to own would also need to be looked at even if it were done only on a leasehold(of the land) basis as I cannot see who will be able to build the infrstructure needed to move the TRNC forward as a tourist destination I personally also think that the TRNC could with forsight and forward thinking hold themselves up to the world as a fully sustainable place that recycles almost every thing and become almost a 100% eco environment as you are starting with an almost blank canvass solar, gassification ir rubbish becomes power, PV power plants like the parabolic in portugal ect

Alex in recent years there has been a great deal of money poured into this part of the island for property and has it made difference in attitude by the locals, I don't think so, just more of the same, corruption, greed etc etc

I once saw a cartoon of a circle of people each with their head up the next persons a**e. That's what you lot are like. You have totally spoilt what was once indeed a "little corner of heaven" through your greed and stupidity. And still you are still debating the rights/wrongs/risks involved in TRNC property. What is wrong with you ???
