Dereny, it really depends on what price you can get a flight for. Then work in the price of a taxi. More Gatwick flights go to Larnaca, including Easyjet, where as the best prices for Ercan tend to be from Stansted. So my advice for you is compare the prices, most of which you can get on the internet. Or approach Tom Flight Holiday & get him to sort out the best prices for you.

Stewart... Just one point about the insurance. When you get this at the border, it's only Third Party Insurance. Comprehensive is not available. You are therefore liable for the cost of an accident in the North if you are at fault. If your car is disabled then a tow from the South is necessary and not always easily obtained.

Additionally, due to the current Euro exchange rate you may find that the car hire costs at present are more expensive than those available in the North.

Hi Dereny,

Around LA hotel, there is a few places, including a small market shop, Saturday market, few restaurants including, Veni Veci and Punjab. Then if you go towards Alsancak, you will find pizza places, DVDs, shops etc. Following through Alsancak, then into Karanaglou and through that is Girne (Kyrenia) , which is the main town.

Hi Dereny,

It sounds like you have little experience of North Cyprus why not go to a reputable agent and book a full package. It can often work out cheaper and if they like us only use proper ATOL bonded operators your holiday and flights are secure.

If you want help from us at IAH we are happy to assist.

Tom
