RE msg 1: Why so complicated? Connect your Samsung 600 with an USB cable to your computer and transfer all data to your computer. Buy a new phone or have the Samsung repaired and transfer the data back. P.S. It's a good idea to back up the data on any phone on your computer regularly - you only need a small accident to lose all data on your phone.

RE msg 4, Smity: (...) they may need to use the screen to scroll the phones memory to do what you have sugested? (...) => No. You can do it all on the screen and with the software on your computer. If a CD or DVD came with the mobile phone, check it for a transfer program, install on the computer and run it. The mobile phone will be found via the USB cable (or, another possibility, via Bluetooth). Usually (depending on your pre-chosen preferences) you don't have to look on the mob phone screen.

or you may even find that your numbers haven't all saved on your phone but onto the SIM card. Try taking the SIM card out of the phone and put it into another one before going to the expense of spending any money on the damaged phone. Karen
