We have just booked a flight up for Christmas and New Year via TerminalA.co.uk Considering it is not far away and a popular time for travelling the prices seemed quite reasonable. Flying with Turkish Airlines (with one hour stop at Istanbul) £259 per person from Stansted. We found these prices much cheaper than Pegasus and CTA and other booking agents. We know that Pegasus do have some good deals if you book well in advance and have taken advantage of these - so no qualms about using them again if the price is right - certainly worth shopping around though. With the rain and grey skys here in the UK this morning it has cheered us up no end to know we have another visit to look forward to - and friendly faces (only been back five days)

Thanks Sheila, We were with Pegaus going home (same flight as Paul and Jean) didn't think we were going to be allowed out of the country as Steve's ticket had been processed as Sarah and we had to have our seats reallocated - so always worth checking your boarding cards before leaving the check-in as it did cause a bit of a palava. We have just noticed that we have just got our second gold star - its like working at McDonalds!

Friends out 17th December to Jan 2010 £90 return Easyjet into Larnaca. We booked November 2009 flights £88 return Easyjet into Larnaca. Car hire £84 for eleven days with Budget Larnaca. Very cheap trip considering the costs of flying to the TRNC and car hire. AP

Found terminal A seems OK a few pennies cheaper than the link I use on flightholidays site for the same flights tried London to Ercan return 15 October but flightholiday had more flight options showing. When it gets to budget prices most sites seem to offer much the same

Haven't flown with Easyjet - is their luggage allowance comparable to Turkish Airlines/Pegasus. On TA the meal and drinks are all included in the price as well as a film (but not a blockbuster)! We get car hire for around £15 in winter, this includes being taken to and from Ercan to Edremit at no additional cost. If you can go earlier in December agreed that you can get a cheaper flight, but when wanting to travel at key times like then and at the end of the school summer holidays you normally have to pay more as everyone is having to travel at the same time - not from choice but work/school committments None the less its interesting to know of others experiences and recommendations Regards

Thanks for the information Vaughan. Steve is our insurance agent so we will certainly bear him in mind when we are booking future flights. Following earlier messages we checked out Easy Jet. We can only fly out from Gatwick to Larnaca and on the dates we are travelling this was much more expensive, as well as additional costs to Gatwich as opposed to Stansted and Larnaca as opposed to Ercan.
