Am trying to book party of 5 ,but note am charged £8.00 per 1 bag in hold, it states on the right that 1 bag is allowed free per passenger. Am I doing something wrong. Also if I try to put zero as baggage, it reverts to 1 when press proceed button.

Just book it with it showing an 1, it won't charge you the £8 for this. I recently booked and did this. It's only the second and additional bags that are charged at £8. Everyone is allowde one bag for free.

It depends on when you are flying if you will be charged for an extra bag. Don't forget your free weight allowance can differ on your age and also on when you are travelling. Take an option with us and book it through us at flightholiday; we have the experience and for 5 passengers our booking fee at £20.00 equals only £4.00 per person. Tom info@flightholiday.co.uk

Not sure if it a case of when you travel but it might be a case of when you book whether it was a special or not. This is most confusing and perhaps Tom could enlighten us but I have 2 tickets booked for the same dates next June. On the first ticket which was booked during the promotion week it shows free baggage count as 0. The next ticket booked a little later and only £11 more it shows the free bag hold count as 1. Check your tickets, has anyone else booked for next year already got a 0 in the free baggage count? Did you book during the promotion week? Col

Forget the previous post. I can now see I have somehow buying an extra bag allowance. On investigation I see that the one with the zero still does have the free baggage allowance and the one with the 1 has one free and one extra purchased. Now unless I have something very light that can take up the bag it looks like I might have spent £8 more than I needed to, or did I have the same problem as Girne and not notice. Very naughty if this is the case. Col

When I book and go to the baggage bit it shows 1 in the box but next to it £8.00, Surely it should show 1 and £0. Like I say I have tried to change baggage count to 0 but when proceeding it reverts to 1. The tickets are "super" For 5 people it makes a difference. I have just looked at reciepts for 2 tickets for myself for different times in spring time and sure enough one shows free hold count of 1 and a charge of £4 and the other flight for different date shows free hold count of 1 and no charge. So all in all for 3 separate tickets 1 "free" bag costs £8,or £4,or £0 . But cant see what determines this.

When I booked a couple of weeks ago for next week I either changed the count to 0 or it already was 0. The free baggage still applied even though it showed 0. For my next june flight that I booked I am sure that the first price it came up with was the price I paid, would it have been a case of subtracting the extras as you do with Easyjet? On the web it still says that everyone has a free bag and that you are or can purchase the right to split your wieght over further bags. I am confused as to how the counts are different. The £4 charge I think refers to one way, to add it now you have to book both ways. Col

Girne, I have just had a look at the site, are you changing the baggage to 0 and then approving baggage? Although it says 1 and charge £8 it is waiting for you to add it and approve it. At this point you have not been charged unless you approve. Above it shows the free baggage and charged baggage count as 1 free and charged 0. You can just ignore and continue and the cost will be as it should be with no extra for baggage. Still cannot explain how mine says 1 charged though. I never would have knowingly approved an extra bag Col

Just phoned Pegasus. Was told that although it shows £8.00 alongside 1 bag, that is the price should you wish to add a bag but not the price you have been charged . Did mention that I had been charged £4 for a bag on one flight and £0 on another and told that maybe had made a mistake, which is possible. Was also told to make sure put 0 in baggage but explained cant do that,so was told, to make sure no mistakes ,not to click the approve baggage button unless you have added extra, just bypass the luggage bit and move to make payment. Anyway, for one bag the price is already included in the ticket regardless of what is alongside the 1 bag box. If by some chance you have paid for baggage it comes up as separate reciept page in much the same way as booked seat does. Gent did mention that soon you will be charged for extra bag even if 2 bags added together are still within the baggage allowance,so be aware.

Col Msg 4 - I dont know that there will be but as Peagsus is a budget airline it is always a possibility that they will stop offering a free hold baggage allowance. With regards to the other questions on this thread, I think Msg 3 covers most of them. Msg 11 is correct if you want to know why have a look at the message I posted earlier on the flights 2009 / 2010 thread
