Fast ferry to Turkey

Where do you get this from? if such a one, where does it go to in turkey? how long does it take? idea of costs? I know all about the girne-tasucu one, but i heard of one that goes to alanya or somewhere like that and is fast. A few questions that maybe someone can answear

I'm just back from Alanya although I flew to Antalya (50 mins). I made enquiries about taking the ferry back from there. I was told it sails twice a week and takes 3 hours- Alanya to Kyrenia. Go to the new port and they'll give you more info, lazy b.....d!

Whilst we are on about ferries here..is it best to get a ticket for car and passenger before getting the midnight Tasacu ferry to Girne? Or is it OK to get it when down there? Planning for the 11th November midnight crossing.

ticket office on port. make sure you buy something to drink and eat not good on ferry. if taking a lady advise you to use loos before getting on ferry absolutely terrible. little village along side ferry port with a few resturants get there early and buy your ticket

The "Fast" ferry from Alanya is an experiance not to be missed! The sight of this Island rising out of the sea is one that will stay with you for years and is well worth the "High Speed" of the crossing - 3 hours to cross, mmmmm only if you get out and push as well - but it is a good ride on the outside once you can get past the heaps of baggage dumped between to two engine rooms!

The crew also make a kind of toasty cheese thing in the galley that is worth a bite when you are hungry. Go on, give it a go and see how the other half live, enjoyed every minute of it.
