| You will find that most, if not all, UK firms will not insure you if you are not resident in UK/EU (for the purposes of insurance TRNC is not generally considered to be in EU) - better to find out beforehand than when they refuse to pay a claim. FMA were selling comprehensive annual travel insurance for TRNC residents which also covered trips to the South of the island. A couple of years ago I tried to get travel insurance via TRNC companies but I found them sadly lacking in the type of cover they can provide and they didn't do annual policies - it may well have changed but do check exactly what's on offer. The policy offered by FMA was via a British Insurance Company and included everything you would expect of a travel insurance including winter sports coverage. FMA's number is 0392 821 8761 |

| Message 4 is correct - Unless you are British resident insurers will not take you on and in case of emergency they will repatriate you or your remanis to your UK (or EU) address. If you falsify your address you will waste your money as they will nor honour your claim. I am not sure if he does travel but talk to Steve Dickinson for insurance. |

| Try International Private Healthcare Limited. I have had an Annual Worldwide Travel policy for myself and my wife for several years now. It costs £225. Excellent cover...a couple of years ago I had planned to go to South Africa from Oman where I work. Then along came Cyclone Gonu which closed the airport for 3-4 days. Couldn't get flights arranged for over a week and so cancelled the trip. In just over a month I received over £800 from IPH to cover costs of internal flights paid for in SA and deposits for accommodation etc. And the premium didn't go up the following year! | I have also had a policy with International Private Healthcare and have just spoken to them. They are no longer offering insurance to non-UK residents but have agreed that they will honor existing policies. They are looking for new underwriters and hope to offer the service in future. Apparently Commercial Insurance (815 0319) are able to offer two month polices for worldwide travel. |

| Msg 6 is no longer true As of last week we have been able to offer travel insurance from our http://www.fliughtholiday.co.uk web site to residents of North Cyprus. This insurance is available to any Expat's who are living in the EU as well as the TRNC. The travel insurance application form is to be found at http://www.flightholiday.co.uk/Infinity_Insurance.php The brokers are the people we use for our IAH / FlightHoliday and personal travel cover too.
