no taxis parked in the area may be best to phone a company to arrange to meet you there.

Will local taxi drivers take you South and if so what's the cost of return fare? Is it the s price one way as I'd like to visit but don't want to book taxi back until I'm finished shoppin etc; Is it possible to get a GC to bring us back to border. Would like to know for future reference. Thanks anyone.

If you can get to the Ledra palace border and walk through there are Taxis there. Yes local Taxi drivers do take you to the south (price to Larnica is around £35) not sure of return price though but you can get taxis in the south to take you back to the border. Hope this helps

Better to go from Ledra Palace - the access to LCA from the 'south side' is so much easier than the narrow streets of Ledra Street - more paces for the Taxis to park. And if goodness sake don't ask to be taken to the 'border' on any return trip with a GC taxi driver.. if you 'ignore' this advice... you'll never forget again... ;)
