Poppin, Esentepe Needs Dart Board & Mat

Hi,

Zeki at the Poppin, Esentepe is looking for a new dart board and mat for his pub.

Does anyone know where, North/South that he can buy them?

The dart board he has at present has seen better days :-(

Any info, inc prices if possible.

We go there on a Wednesday night @ 7pm,

if anyone's interested in a game.

In Lefkosa as you walk from the Kyrenia Gate towards the Lokmaci/Ledra Street area you pass a sports shop that sells darts equipment, snooker equipment and trophies etc. In the main street.

Some one posted a request similar to this a few weeks ago.



I bought a dartboard via a chap called Ugur, last year. He is based in the Sony shop next to the Lemar in Lefkosa and has a friend that shipped in quite a few, some on large boards and some in wooded boxes that you hang on the wall. You should be able to do a bit of bargaining here because he told me that his friend was having trouble shifting so many of them in the TRNC. This was almost a year ago so obviously I do not know if this is still the situation.

I was also told that Mavro matis (sorry don't know the spelling) also sell them but when i inquired they had run out. If you walk over the ledra street crossing they are a few hundred metres up on your right hand side. Not sure if they sell mats.



As for a dart mat, I can't help you as I got mine brought over from UK.

Just remembered, there is also a shop in Lefkosa that sells darts..... they may well sell boards, I know they sell mats but I remember thinking the mats were a little expensive.



On going over the mountains to Lefkosa, turn left onto the Famagusta road then up to the 3rd lights and turn right. Follow this road pass Cangar and down to the 2nd roundabout, as you go over this roundabout (with some sort of monument on it) there is a sports shop on the left and they sell darts and mats.



Can't help with prices, sorry it was a year ago when I was looking!!

Only been in once, weren't too impessed with the curry, really tasty, but rather dry. Weloming place though and quite busy. Bro-in-law is a regular and they were trying to get a darts team going earlier in the year. A bit far out from Girne, about 17 miles, but if you're out that way it's well worth a visit.
