Wish we could come, but don't think we could do the round trip and get back to UK for work on Monday - oh well will just have to be patient for a few more weeks!

=> Whistler, I'm so glad you found Guido's Bistro, but what a sad story. Fully booked, so Liz and Guido couldn't seat one more customer?! Tsk!

Eager Msg 16

This is the unnamed restaurant that no person knows where it is nor located let alone advertised as it could be at the end of the Universe serving intergalactic gargle blasters on the 'House' for free time and again!

Lilli its not a case of winning, I simply agreed with message 16. The last message you posted regarding Sunday lunch on the 29.09 09. was withdrawn by Izzet, with reference to rule no 8, is this message any different ?

philnles, lilli's post was purely to let people know WHEN we start .too many customers asked us if this year we'll serve sunday lunch, so this was the only way to let the members of the board know that we started.

if your name it's not guido's you can advertise on this board as much as you like, if it is then you will get some people on your back complaining. we rearly advertise, we always answer comments. check our profile and see for yourself how many time we started an advert and how many time we answered people's comments. I dont need to tell people if my restaurant it's good , history speak for itself.

Re: Msg1

"Traditional" lunch. You mean something really traditional Italiaqn like

"Filetto di vitelloal prosciutto, patate arrosto, pomodori, funghi e zucchine." or

"Coscia d'agnello da latte con salsa ai carciofi e patate arrosto". or

"Carre di vitello al forno con salsa ai porcini"?

Dear Richard,

Don't you think it is odd that one does have to pre-book, or call the owner to have a traditional Italian meal in the Italian restaurant?

Clarissa 2. I think Richard is referring to a Sunday, when it is only Sunday Lunch served. Maybe Guido has done the moules as a special favour. Incidentally, you wont get a better traditional Sunday lunch anywhere.

Of course Italian is his specalility to to cater for our regualar clientle and who keep us in buisness we try to give them what they want. We have a limited Italian community only those to come to see us from TGurkey or greek side. Sunday is the only day we do this but we listen to our customers. Our menu our wines are mainly italian and we will endeavour to encompass any regional dish

You have just given me a culinary educational lesson, one not to be forgotten. An Italian can only cook pasta & pizza, a Frenchman can only provide haute cuisine, an Englishman can only conjure up meat and three veg, yes, I must remember this!
