I agree, Dr. Munur has always been very good with me. Polite, helpful and speaks good English. Dr. Silem is also very good and speaks good English, but you do have to make an apointment with her.

Dr Celiker was treating a friend of ours for a "bad chest" for almost a year before he finally sent him for an X.Ray which said he had lung cancer. He then wanted to send him to Istanbul for a biopsy and treatment which he could and did get here in Cyprus. Biopsy in Nicosia and Chemo in Lefkosa. Unfortuneately, it was all too late and he died just 2 months later. This should have been investigated long before it was and could have been diagnosed earlier and may have saved his life. He gave our friend anti-biotics month after month after month which were all purchased at his wife's chemist in Girne not to mention 100tl every time they visited the Doctor. Ask his widow what she thinks of Dr Celiker

Can't believe people are still recommending Celiker - he is a crook - even other decent doctors won't have anything to do with him. Munur also sees the Brits coming and he's a groper! Try Dr Hakan Ataker - he is sensible and really nice and doesn't rip anybody off - makes no difference to him whether you're a Turkish Cypriot or a foreigner. Phone number: 0392-8155204 or mobile 0542-3537427. Directions: pass HSBC on your left, second turning left after this, his surgery is approx 100 metres on the right. 3 floor white building. He is on the ground floor left (Letam share this floor).
