| Londons Gatwick Airport operated by the BAA and owned by Spains Ferrinval has just been sold for 1.5 billion pounds. New owner GIP which owns City Airport are of course delihhted to get it for this amount and has great plans for it a spokeman states . What is left now to be sold |

| I am all in favour of private enterprise and competition. The job of governments is to ensure fair play i.e. govern. I see nothing wrong in such a sale.

| Can't see the problem here. It is privately owned and the govt. has told them to sell it to increase competition between airports. |

| Elko and Vincent I agree with you. However BAA are appealing to the commision.They have been told that the have to sell 4 Airports to help repay thier 9,6 billion pounds debt.Surprisingly Boris Johnson this week announced his plans for another major airport in London |
