My Solicitor in the UK used to charge me for emails and phone calls (use of their time etc), think that it was £15 or so.

Never been charged for emails. We were told the cost for conveyancing at the outset and never paid anything extra for emails.

Most Solicitors, if not on a flat fee in the UK charge an hourly rate for their time now. They divide it into units and for most a unit is 6 minutes. if they send an email, even if it takes a minute some will charge a unit, that's how they charge more hours than in the day!

Dinky you do not state whether the solicitor is in the UK or in the TRNC as this could make a difference. In the Uk i was charged by a solicitor for phone calls and emails but not in the TRNC
