The Place - Esentepe Villa Hotel, Esentepe. The Event - Tues Evening "Curry Night". Those present - me, my missus, Garry Monger, Garry Monger's Missus. Comments - I've tried curry all over the TRNC and have to say that in my Book, Happy Valley in Cattlekoy takes some beating, but decided to give EVH curry night a go..... The food is specially prepared by by "Curry Guru" Jonnie Lee, the man who invented "curryoakie" in the UK 10 years ago and still owns one of the best indian restaurants in the uk, so with a pedigree like that, the food wasn't likely to be anything other than first class. Tucker - Simple, THE best indian food in the TRNC, by a country mile - i won't rabbit on about the thickness of the popadoms and all that saftness, but would say, that if you want the tastiest, most authentic Indian tucker you'll get over here, then the Esentepe Villa Hotel curry night is for you. Overall - a Neg Nick 10 / 10 (and i don't give them out willy nilly)

N.N. Thank you for your kind comments, Hope garys missus portion was Ok, if she comes again we have brought a large oval meat platter for her, reminds me of the time Barry Austin from Brum had his last supper at the Kings Repose, (before his diet) You should have seen the table, and he actually had1 chair for each bum cheek. Would you believe the Curryoke Idea was 15 years ago, time flys, and just around the same time that I had thought about it, I saw a small article in a sunday paper, that another Lee, a bit better known than me Leapy Lee, of Little Arrows Fame in the late 60s, was also doing the same thing in Spain, and calling it Kurryoke, And about 18 months ago I was with a group of friends in Altinkaya roof bar on a Sunday eve., and was chatting about my idea. Next thing I know is its advertised in the following Wed. paper. Even worse than you using my jokes, That,s it I shall copyright my ideas from now on. But isn,t supposed to be the highest form of Flattery.

Johnny, Stick the "bog rolls" in the freezer and you will make an after dinner mint, selling them to the customers that are in a rush to get to the vinda loo!!!! .......I fell into a burning RING.....of fire! I'd keep it quiet about the Mongers frequenting the place. Council Estate trash so I hear. Good luck with the restaurant. Where's ya poppa dom.....where's ya poppa dom....little poppadom........little poppa dom.....far ...far away.......far far away name the song and who sang it?
