ok but very basic . if small kids and you want pm of peace and quiet then its fine. only a few slides. i went over macronissios (near ayia napa) last year as ours are teenagers. drove my hire car to crossing at pergami (thats not how spelt) then got taxi to water park on our side for £30 return . great park at waterworld ,entry around £17 each i think . kav

Octopus AquaPark in Catalkoy is not and probably will not be opened this season due to lack of custom over the last few years.

Hi All..... I was in the Lapta Waterpark a couple of days ago for a nosey (still a big kid at heart). The waterpark is part of the Hotel Lapethos complex, there are around five or six reasonably large slides, kids water play area and a large pool, good area for lounging around, the cost is 15ytl i think it is reasonably good value, i would think any 10 year old would have a good bit of fun here. It is worth remebering that North Cyprus is not quite Florida!!!

Hi All, Just to let you guys know I went to acapulco yesterday and it was a total wrip off. Not worth a penny. We paid entrance fee of 20ytl [2 adults] my 2 kids and my cusins 2 kids at age between 5 and 10 yrs paid 5 ytl. kids wanted magnum each at 6ytl totals 24 ytl. we paid 152 ytl to get a basic meal of 2 pizzas, 1 salad, 1 lahmacun, 1 helim pide , 4 chips n 6 cokes and paid 152ytl n it wasnt all that. later we paid for drinks ie coke at 6ytl and slush puppias at 6 ytl each. kids paid 8 ytl to play pool twice, each token at 2yl each as the water got turned of twice at slides, 1st time from 1pm to 2.10pm and 2nd time at 4.10pm and never came back on, I think it was terrible because the kids went for the slides and if the water stops u cant go down them. There was no life guards or staff to monitor up or down slides although many accidents have been heard of in past and to top it there were loads of over grown men in the slides area and u can imagine all impacts everytime they landed of the slide in the water, NOT SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN.

horny, try Lapta park next time, plenty people about looking after rides, lifeguard in the pool for the big slides (not sure if can 'lifeguard' though) but all together better than your acapulco experience, 15ytl for grown ups, 10ytl for younger kids, our 18month old free. Not sure on prices of drinks, we take our own.

What a rip off at the Acupulco, everyone should send an e-mail and complain about the prices. Went with the family last year had a lovely time, but will think twice about paying that sort of money. The thing is its the only place in Kyrenia with any decent water slides and they know it.
