Use the International prefix +357 followed by the 8 digit local number

I think the call goes via Turkey and Greece before it goes to RoC.

I live in Larnaca and can't use GC mob phones when in the north, unless close to the border or at the top of St Hilarion ! They block any connections to TC networks.

GreenArmy,

You are quite right, as there is no reciprocal 'Roaming' agreement between Telecom Companies on the two sides then a mobile phone with a 'GC' account will not be able to operate in the 'TC' area, and vice versa - unless within line of sight (more-or-less) of one of their 'own' mobile phone masts.

However, this has no bearing on the ability to ring a 'phone number on the 'other side'.

A pet shop in the South regularly orders special food for me (on the strength of a TRNC Vet's prescription ) - and for 'repeat orders', I ring or text them with the order, and they ring or text me back to confirm, and to advise delivery.

As has been stated earlier, all calls appear to be routed via the mainland - that is through Turkey / Greece, and then back to the 'other side' of Cyprus.

What a Farce!

What a waste!
