Why write it in Turkish??????? If you're going to write something like that, write it in English for your readers. Or maybe you thought nobody would understand. A bit unnecessary. Or maybe I'm just a prude!!!!

"Ne bok istersan bulabilin' Means 'What ever shit you find it here' Malsancak is not happy with the (HBC) view on dialect. İt is one more erosion of T/C culture he may be right. İts a bit like banning cockney, mancuian, scotch and other dialects apart from middle to upper class English from UK TV. The rational is if more middle mainland Anatolian Turkish is broadcast via the medium of TV T/C it will ingrain into the T/C and be dominant There is a further belief amongst some T/C that mainland Turkish settlers are responsible for rising crime, loss of jobs by locals and lots more it depends on your view. İ believe it is unfair to streotype there are good and bad in all. As populations grows social change occurs. T/C aren't use to the levels of crime that is happening and many of the settlers are likened to travellers, Jamacians and even Turks that cause all the problems in the Uk. İ presume Malsancak has a negative view about mainlanders .You can never plan the fut

A TC schoolteacher I was talking to the other day told me that out of one of his classes of forty, only five pupils were TC - the rest mainlanders. As for the increasing 'Turkification' of TRNC - unfortunately, the adage: 'Might is right!' springs to mind.

Let me rephase 'many of the settlers are likened to travellers, Jamacians and even Turks that cause all the problems in the Uk. Should read ('allegeadly' cause the problems in the UK). You can never plan or hold the future by the past. Many are here to stay it has to be accepted. İt should also be noted that many mainland large corporations are investing here in hotels and all sorts of other bussines creating employment. The mainland is buılding a new water pipeline by 2012 to help with water shortages and let face it T/C would not survive if it did'nt recieve the financial assistance it recieves from the mainland. İ suppose T/C will have to take the rough with the smooth.

When the settlement fails,it will get greate as north cyprus comes closer to Turkey. On a lighter note. Whats wrong with the Turkification of the North?.Would certainly sort out the civil service, tourist and construction industry.

winslow in msg 11 says, "İ presume Malsancak has a negative view about mainlanders" You presume very wrongly! I am a Cockney who became a teacher only to be told that I should speak properly. I am also fascinated by dialects and am anti-censorship. PLUS it wasn't a Turkish mainlander who banned Gibrizlija. Phew, can we get back to the vick rubbing please! Mal

msg 14 says, "Whats wrong with the Turkification of the North?" I suppose if you're a TC then you might not like it plus if Turkey moves away from secularisation and becomes more muslim then the tax on beer might go up? Mal

Mal Wasnt meaning a flood of Turks coming in .I was meaning that with the Turks that are here Turkification would take place as regards way of life. If Turkey moves away from secularisation ,it will affect NC anyway. Eventually a Turk that lives in NC will becom a TC anyway. Its Turkish taxpayers that keep the place going and that has to be taken account of.

What are you reffering too then... |

That's why İ was confused 'Istediginiz mali bulabilirsin (Standard Turkish) -You can find anything you need this is correct (object/product)this is correct. But 'Ne bok istersan bulabilin' 'What ever shit you want you can find it' and you in this context that would imply 'here' (Cyp) Using this in the context of "Turkification of North Cyprus?" İmplied that Turkification and mainland Turks are the shit they cause all the problem and our T/C traditional lay back culture is being erodid. İts not your fault http://www.visionmatters.co.uk/BB3/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=844 don't no what there saying.
