Anybody know the best place to get logs from in the Esentepe area. I have a quote from Mr Soted but he seems a little expensive. I understand wood is not cheap but I must be able to get a better deal somewher else.

Mike

We have just got some log burning wood from a man in Kucuk Erenkoy as we live in Esentepe. If you know where the fire watch (old hotel) is in Kucuk Erenkoy village, he works there and is called Suleyman. His English is good enough for you to understand each other. We got about 4 ton of wood and it was 500TL. Im not sure if that is good as this is our first lot of wood we have bought.

Suleyman will take you to his house in Tatlisu to show you the wood and then deliver it for you free of charge. I dont have a number for him I am afraid!

Keep on the look out as you drive around, although I know it's all a bit wet at the moment. There's lots of wood by the sides of the road, fields, etc. mixed with good wood, it can save you a lot. I was hauling a branch this morning and then realised it ws covered in ants. So watch what you're picking up.

Thanks for that Jayne. That works out 125 tl per ton, depending on what type of wood It is sounds reasonable.

I collected, beach combed, after six shoped last year but due to the tax rises I no longer have the old pajero which knew no boundaries. Also I was new to it last year so I was keen. This year I can't be arsed.
