Good poll but it only shows the percentages of responses and not as a percent of the total of responses. Looks good on paper but if only 10 people respond and all bar one opt for number 1 we would never know and think that out of 350,000 responses that everyone - bar a few - wanted number 1. Can a total number of responses be included to give a better idea??

To get a more accurate answer on the likley outcome, perhaps it might be better to ask the question: What will the final solution be? Also, do not allow people to see the results until they have polled. This prevents people being influenced by the poll results.

PollDaddy are a bit inflexible (but free) and the final % and number polled will be published. We did that for the first poll. As for what the outcome will be, I suppose we could run a poll asking people to guess what might happen but there are too many variables to make it a "pick one of these" poll. Mal Editor of NCFP

13 people polled so far, one comment "independent EU state" which is kind of a go it alone answer. The last poll gained 120 responses.

"something along the lines of the anan plan" seems a bit vague to me, Paul.

The best solution to the Cyprus problem is to go back to Blighty and forget it exists

msg 6, Paul says, ""something along the lines of the anan plan" seems a bit vague to me" I thought a lot about that and having read the details of the plan and the objections to it I was torn between the long "2 separate states with a weak federal government..." route with several variations of the plan being discussed but in the end settled with ""something along the lines of the Annan plan." There is an "other" section where you can add your own alternative if you don't like my generalisations.

after 40 votes the poll at http://www.northcyprusfreepress.com seems to be split fairly equally between the three options: "Annan Plan(ish)", "go with Turkey" or "go it alone"

You can narrow the choice down if you work on the basis of what will work. There are too many options for what will NOT work. I have my views, but I wont be voting, so it would be pointless to express them! Just my view, thats all. wynyardman
